Jacob S. “Jay” Myers, 72, of Cutler, OH, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2017 at his residence. He was born November 21, 1944, in Somerset, PA, son of the late Henry C. and Jean Myers. Jay was a U.S. Army Medic and served in Vietnam. He retired from O'Ames plant 2 as a Machinist after 24 years of service. He was a member of the Washington County Bee Inspectors for 28 years. Jay enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and doing church work at the Decatur Chapel Church where he was a member since 1975. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Leonard Myers; two daughters, Belinda Myers Campbell (Kelly) of Charleston, TN and Rebecca Myers Snyder of Chesterhill, OH; one son, Paul Myers (Melody) of Cutler, OH; one sister, Janet White (Robert) of Greentown, OH; one brother, Thomas Clay Myers of Barlow, OH; eight grandchildren; and one great grandson. Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Monday, October 30, 2017, at the Decatur Chapel, 6687 State Route 555, Little Hocking, OH 45742, with Pastor Tim A. Lindsey officiating and military honors will be observed. Visitation will be Monday from 12 – 3 p.m. at the church.
