Jackie V. Bennett

Jackie Verlyn Bennett, 81, of Bellville, WV, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Genesis Healthcare. He was born in Belleville, WV, on October 23, 1936, to Augusta and Ira Bennett. He was retired from DuPont Washington Works. He enjoyed watching Nascar, sitting on the porch visiting friends and family, taking buggy rides around the ridge and hanging out with his special buddies. He is survived by two daughters, Kim McVey and her husband, Keith and Kelta Grogg and her husband, Pat; he had three grandchildren, TJ Sellers and his wife, Amber, Bryan Sellers and his wife, Jenny and Darcie Stone; six great-grandchildren, Koen and Kayla Sellers, Payton Sellers, Olivia Henderson and Brayden and Kinsley Stone; his sister, Nadine Hofmann; and many living family and friends. In addition to his parents, Jackie was preceded in death by the love of his life Jeanne Simonton. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 15, 2017 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, South Parkersburg with Pastor Robert Watkins officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Home Cemetery in Belleville, WV. Visitation will be from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
