Irvin Neeley Stanley

Irvin Neeley “Bud” Stanley, 91 of Belpre, Ohio passed away Friday, April 29, 2016 at the West Virginia Veterans Nursing Facility, Clarksburg. He was born December 22, 1924 in Hazen, Arkansas, a son of the late Roy E. and Florence Opal Stanley. Irvin was a U.S. Navy veteran having served in WW II where he received the Purple Heart. He was retired from Murray Sheet Metal and enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and yard sculptures. He and his wife were avid travelers. He is survived by his daughter, Terri Stanley-Lee of Belpre; one brother, Larry Stanley of Hot Springs, Arkansas; his grandson, Joshua Neeley Lee (Sasha) of Parkersburg,W.Va.; three great-grandchildren, Kylin, Parker, and Avery Lee; one nephew, Gary Stanley (Chris) and their son and daughter, Blake and Breonna; two nieces, Cheryl Stanley (Leo) and their daughter, Tara and Vicki Thomas; and one sister-in-law, Frances Wilson of Parkersburg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia J. Stanley on January 13, 2012; his son, Ricky Dean Stanley; one brother, Gene Stanley; two sisters, Helen and Sybil Stanley; and two nephews, Jeff and Matthew Stanley. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 1305 Washington Blvd. Belpre with full military rites by the American Legion Post 15. Entombment will follow at the East Lawn Cemetery in Reno, Ohio. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of services Wednesday at the funeral home.
