Ireta F. Barker, 88, went to be with her Lord and Savior and the love of her life, Charles F. Barker, at Ohio Valley Healthcare Friday, April 22, 2016. She was born in Parkersburg W.Va., January 25, 1928 to the late Harry M. and Debbie B. Williams Leisure. Ireta was a homemaker and member of the Cedar Grove United Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Havens of Parkersburg; one granddaughter, Christina (Eric) Figueroa of Hathorn, California; one great-granddaughter, Jamie Figueroa of Hathorn, California; two brothers-in-law, Jack Barker of Williamstown, W.Va. and Jack Jenkins of Parkersburg; two sisters-in-law, Charlotte Barker of Williamstown and Sarah Barker of Parkersburg; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband of 62 years, Charles F. Barker, she is preceded in death by three sisters, Thelma Hoshar, Uldean Barker, and Pauline Jonas; four brothers, Keston Leisure, Dicky Leisure, Clarence (Shorty) Leisure, and Harry M. (June) Leisure II; and a son-in-law, Virgil Havens. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of OVHC for all the loving care they gave Ireta during her stay there. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike Street, Parkersburg. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
