Irene Scott

Irene Scott, 76, of Belleville, W.Va., passed away Sunday, Feb. 6, 2011, at her residence.She was born Oct. 4, 1934, in Wood County, W.Va., a daughter of the late James A. and Mabel Sams Woody.Irene formerly worked at E.I. Dupont in the cafeteria and retired from Kreinik Manufacturing. She was a member of Sarepta Baptist Church.She is survived by her husband, Harley Scott; two sons, Robert E. Scott (Orlena) and John E. Scott (Becky), all of Belleville; one sister, Julia Wilson of Pettyville, W.Va.; a brother, James A. Woody Jr. of Mineral Wells, W.Va.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Harley Scott, Jr.; one sister, Greta Wilson; and one brother, Emmett Woody.Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike Street, south Parkersburg, with Pastor Frank Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Wadesville Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
