Inga Birna Smith

July 11, 1950 — September 26, 2024

Inga B. Smith age 74 of Walker, WV passed away Thursday, September 26, 2024 at the Camden Clark Medical Center.

She was born July 11, 1950 in Reyjkavik, Iceland. She was preceded in death by her mother, Halldora Einarsdottir, her father, Johann Magnusson and her brother, Hafsteinn Johannsson.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Roger Smith.

Her daughter, Sonia Fizet and her husband, Mike Montgomery; grandchildren, Dakota Kellerman, Jayde Fizet and Ayden Fizet.

Her son, Joshua Smith and his wife Sara Smith.

Inga’s daughter, Svanhildur Bjork Sigfusdottir and her husband Asgeir Sverrirsson; grandchilkdren, Asgerdur Osk Asgeirsdottir and Sverrir Asgeirsson.

Her brothers, Skuli Johannsson and Kristinn Johannsson (Denise O’Donoghue). Her sisters, Hjordis Johannsdottir (Bragi Asgeirsson), Asdis Johannsdottir Gilsdorf (Warren Gilsdorf).

She also held very close to her heart, her husband’s family since hers lived so far away. This includes sister-in-law, Brenda Amos (Mike Amos), Vickie Cutright (Roger Cutright), brother-in-law, Rodney Smith (Teresa Smith) and another sister-in-law, Donna Kittle (Jeff Kittle).

She also had many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends she leaves behind.

There will be no services. Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Green St, Parkersburg is honored to serve the Smith family.
