Ina Jean Garner

Ina J. Garner, 65, of Parkersburg, passed away on September 2, 2018, at Camden Clark Medical Center. She was born April 5, 1953, in Nevada, a daughter of the late J.D. Leavitt and Jean Hamilton Cox. After a brief illness, our Ina was called home to tranquility. She touched many lives with her warm smile, laughter and generosity. We will miss her and recall with love memories of her gentleness. Ina is survived by her daughter, Marilin Garner of Vincent, OH; her two grandchildren, Joel Snyder and Brandi Garner of Vincent, OH; two step-daughters, Vicki Pittman of Parkersburg and Karen Motley of Belpre; her brother, Pat Meeker (Elizabeth) of La Palma, CA; her sister in-law, Chris Leavitt of Edmond, OK; two nephews, Larry and Mike Meeker of California; two step nephews, Kevin Mason of Colorado and Hazen Bare of Washington State. In addition to her parents, Ina was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Garner; one brother, Mike Leavitt; and a step-daughter, Trisha Love. At Ina’s request her body was donated to the Human Gift Registry at WVU.
