Ilene Irene Burke

Ilene Irene Burke, 80, of Rockport, joined her beloved husband in heaven on March 4, 2025. She was born August 5, 1944, a daughter to the late Lloyd and Lessie Bonnett.

She worked as a bus driver for the Wood County B.O.E. for many years until she retired. She was also a skilled pianist who spent many years sharing her gift with her family and church. She enjoyed cooking and learning new recipes, painting, playing the piano, learning new instruments, and spending warm sunny days sitting on the porch.

She is survived by her three children, Lucinda Starcher (Eric), Daniel Burke (Nora Caplinger), and Davy Burke; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, David Burke Sr.; daughter, Cheryl West; sisters, Margaret, Violet, Janet, Patricia, Evelyn, and Ireta; and brother, George.

Funeral services 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 10, 2025 at Lambert Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St. Parkersburg with Pastor Enoch Pursley officiating. Burial will follow at Big Tygart Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
