Howard B. Mcgary

Howard B. McGary, 83, of Davisville, WV passed away Sunday, April 21, 2019 at The Parkersburg Care Center. He was born July 30, 1935 in Parkersburg, a son of the late John and Sylvia McGary. Howard served in the National Guard and was retired from Evergreen North Cemetery. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and liked playing horseshoes. He especially enjoyed playing with his grandchildren. Howard is survived by his wife, Ethel Morrison McGary; his children, Thomas R. McGary (Janet) of Davisville, Arnold D. McGary of Parkersburg, Jeannie M. Modesitt also of Parkersburg, Deborah A. Birney of Davisville and Howard J. McGary of Davisville; sisters, Marie Balderson of Parkersburg and Wanda Modesitt of Davisville; brother, John McGary of Parkersburg; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by daughter, Barbara Kay Richards; a grandson, Jeffrey Huffman; and six brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg, with Pastor Jerry Hanshaw officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
