Howard Dale Gribble

Howard Dale Gribble, 71, of Mineral Wells, W.Va., passed away Saturday, February 19, 2011, at his residence.He was born August 21, 1939, in Ritchie County, W.Va., a son of Garoldine Day Gribble of Parkersburg, W.Va. and the late Hayward Gribble.Mr. Gribble retired from E.I. Dupont Co. Washington Works after 37 years of service and was The Elder at 14th Avenue Gospel Mission Church in south Parkersburg.He is survived by his wife, Deloris N. Eddy Gribble; two daughters, Debbie La Pan (Steve) of Washington, W.Va. and Sherry Steele (Brent) of Mineral Wells, W.Va.; three sisters, Carol Ann Gribble of Parkersburg, W.Va., Mary Godfrey of Tennessee and Mona Strong (Roger) of Elizabeth, W.Va.; a sister-in-law, Sue Gribble of Parkersburg, W.Va.; two brothers, Tom Gribble (Carol) and Mark Gribble (Bonnie), both of Parkersburg, W.Va.; grandchildren, Justin Kidder, Khaila (Nick) Riffle, Dustin Steele, Andrew Sajdak-La Pan, Hope (Josh) Nickleson, Tori Cunningham-La Pan, Trent La Pan and Emmanuel La Pan;a step-grandson, Corey Steele; a foster grandchild, Ariel Willoughby; and great-grandchildren, Addyson, Valorie, Chandler, Seth and Blake.In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Denzil Gribble.Funeral services for Mr. Gribble will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 23, 2011 atthe 14th Avenue Gospel Mission Church, 4124 – 14th Avenue, Parkersburg, W.Va.with Pastor Tim Burch officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike Street, south Parkersburg, W.Va. and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
