Howard "Budd" Charles Church

Howard “Budd” Church age 74 of Belpre, Ohio passed away Thursday, March 31, 2016 at his residence. He was born July 12, 1941 in Parkersburg, W.Va. a son of the late Arlie B. and Virginia Waldren Church. Budd attended Belpre High School where he played football and was a US Navy Veteran. He was a retired iron worker and retired from Local 168 pipefitters union. Budd enjoyed his horses, team roping, his Harley Davidson, his dogs, hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, Eagles, and the American Legion. Budd is survived by his three children, Lionel Church, Buffy Ruble (Rob) of Cutler, Ohio, and Robin Barker of Parkersburg; one brother and five sisters, Dora Lee Campbell and Ruth Ann Church both of Seymour, Ind., Nancy Rauch (Jim) of New Castle, Del., Lela Pridgen (Bud) of Seymour, Jim Church (Phyllis) of Austin, Ind., and Brenda Rookard (John) of New Castle; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two step-children, Stevie Pottmeyer and Lisa Kilgus (Zach) both of Belpre. In addition to his parents, Budd was preceded in death by an infant brother, Ronnie Church. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 4, 2016 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 1305 Washington Blvd. Belpre with Pastors David Ellenwood and Cody Church officiating. Interment will follow at the Rockland Cemetery with full military rites by the American Legion Post 15. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday and Monday one hour prior to the services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of Budd.
