Hobart E. Martin

Dr. Hobart E. Martin, 94 of Belpre, passed away October 9, 2018 at Camden Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg. He was born October 19, 1923 in Charleston, W.Va., a son of the late Hobart and Florence Elizabeth VanDyke Martin. He was a graduate of Princeton High School, WVU and Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He was a WWII Army veteran serving as a Surgical Tech, and was an avid gardener. Hobart is survived by a daughter, Valerie McCown (Keith) of Wylie, TX; a son, Cameron Martin (Dr. Kristin Powell) of Denver, CO; and two grandchildren, Kayla and Taylor Childers. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne M. Mounts Martin; and a sister, Kay Giese. There will be no visitation or service at this time. Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Green St. Parkersburg is assisting the family with arrangements.
