Hildreth G. Morris

Hildreth Gene Morris, 84, of Belleville, WV, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at her residence. She was born October 16, 1932, in Belleville, WV, a daughter of the late Reverend Elza T. and Dehyla B. Sands Moore. Hildreth was a graduate of Parkersburg High School and retired from DuPont. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and quilting. She attended Pond Creek Baptist Church. She was survived by her three sons, Richard “Rick” Morris (Shirley) of Mineral Wells, Russell “Earl” Morris of Georgia and Robin K. Morris (Cindy) of Ravenswood, WV; grandchildren, Alison Morris and Joseph Morris both of Las Vegas, NV, Adam, Andrew, Jeremy and Daniel Morris all of Georgia, Chasity Moyers (Nathaniel) of Parkersburg, Samantha Morris of Ravenswood and Britany Morris of Mineral Wells; two great-granddaughters, Elliana Shaelee and Iley Gene (named after her great-grandmother); and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Morris in 2001; and five brothers and sisters, Geraldine Richmond, Pauline Lemley, Claude Moore, Hilton Moore – twin brother, and Evelyn Cunningham. Visitation for family and friends will be held 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, March 27, 2017 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, south Parkersburg.
