Hilda Ruth Linger

Hilda Ruth Linger, 93, a resident of the Parkersburg Masonic Home, formally of Waverly passed away September 2, 2015, at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital.She was born August 6,1922 in Waverly, the daughter of the late Clifton and Pleasy Garrison Stephens.Hilda was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church in Waverly.She is survived by one daughter Rita (Dale) Morgan of Waverly; one son, Roger (Leigh) Linger of Vienna; two grandchildren Heather and Mike Morgan, and two great-grandchildren, Zoe Daugherty and Will Morgan.Hilda was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Marvin” Linger; brother, Howard Stephens and one infant son.Funeral services for Hilda will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church in Waverly with Pastors Gene Full and Brady Stephens officiating. Burial will follow the service at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 3:00-8:00 P.M. at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna.The family would like to thank the staff at WV Masonic Home, CCMH Nursing Staff and Dr. James Spychalski MD. and Amedisys Hospice for their wonderful care.
