Henry June Edwards 87 of Parkersburg passed away January 7, 2011 at the Camden Clark Memorial Hospital.He was born December 10, 1923 in Walker, WV, a son of the late Henry Francis and Fannie D. Heck Jones Edwards. Henry was a 1941 graduate of Parkersburg High School; was an US Army Air Corp Veteran having served in WW II; and retired from Union Carbide in 1981, where he was a maintenance supervisor. He formerly worked at the American Viscose; was a bus driver for Greyhound Bus Line; and worked at the railway Express Agency. Henry was a 50 year plus member of the Belpre Masonic Lodge; member of the Ben Bey Grotto; and a member of the American Legion Post 15. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, and playing Santa Claus.Surviving is his wife of 58 years, Margaret Annabelle Affolter Edwards; two daughters, Brenda Lee Wentzel (Patrick) of Parkersburg and Janine Ann Pyles (Larry) of Washington, WV; three sons, Mark Edwards (Susie) of Parkersburg, Timothy L. Edwards (Sara) of Parkersburg, and Jeffrey L. Edwards (Caren) of Vienna; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Ernest Jones; one sister, Doris Mae Huber; infant granddaughter, Paula Angela Edwards; and one grandson, Adam Francis Edwards.Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St., south Parkersburg with full Military rites by the American Legion Post 15. Private interment will be at the Red Hill Cemetery.
