Helen Yvonne Venham

Helen Yvonne Dowler Venham, 88, formerly of Marietta, Ohio, passed away on August 24, 2026, at Highland Oaks Health Center in McConnelsville, Ohio.

She was born on October 31, 1937, on Blennerhassett Island, WV to the late Herbert and Loretta Courtney Dowler.

Helen graduated from Vincent High School. On June 27, 1956, she married Terry Venham.

She was a member of the Veto Church of Christ. She enjoyed playing horseshoes and bowling.

Helen is survived by her granddaughter, Michelle Stevens (Christopher); great grandchildren, Audreyanna, Jaxton, and Corbynn Frame; her siblings, Edna Mackey of Fleming, Walter (Mary Jane) Dowler of Coolville, Darrell Dowler of Fleming, Bryan (Karen) Dowler of Fleming, Bonnie (Roger) Whytsell of Fort Mill, SC; sister-in-law Shelba Dowler of Barlow; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband; she was preceded in death by sons, Tony, Toby and Stoney Venham; sister, Alma Eaton and brother, Paul Dowler.

Funeral service will be 1:00pm, Friday, August 28, 2026, at Barlow Vincent Church of Christ with Dan Plum officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00pm to time of service.
