Helen Marie Henderson, 92, formerly of Parkersburg, passed away at her residence in Albany, Georgia, April 16, 2017. She was born February 14, 1925 in Parkersburg, the daughter of the late Clarence Edwin Leach and Bernice Floda Righter Leach. Helen was a homemaker who loved being with her family. She enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, sewing, knitting, and croqueting. She was a former volunteer for the American Red Cross. She was a Turtle in the Cherry River Navy, and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Parkersburg Chapter. She is survived by two sons, Gerald Henderson (Kimberly) and Richard Eugene Henderson, Jr. (Bonnie) all of Albany, Georgia; a sister, Velma Joan Bachelor of Colorado; five grandchildren, Audra Marie Helm, Deborah Aileen Watson, and Michael Thomas Henderson, Matthew, and Hannah; four great-grandchildren, Zachary, Madison, Parker, and David. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Eugene Henderson, Sr.; one daughter, Cheryl Ann Henderson; one granddaughter, Krista Dianne Fint; and two brothers, Edwin and Gerald Leach. A graveside service will be held April 21,2017 at 2:30 p.m. Friday at East Lawn Memorial Park in Reno, Ohio. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Vienna. Parkersburg Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star will conduct services at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
