Hazel L. Miller

Our loving mother, Hazel L. Miller, 88, of Parkersburg, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 13, 2020. She was born December 1, 1931, in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late George and Sylvia Mae Ruble Tanner. Hazel was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family, bird watching, crafts and square dancing. She was an active member of Calvary Memorial Church where she taught Sunday school for many years. She is survived by her children, Deborah A. Stout (Robert) of Parkersburg, Paula K. Culley (Audie) of Montezuma, IA, George F. Miller of Parkersburg, Sarah E. Layfield (Terry) of Elkins, WV, Lisa G. Sutton (Robert) of Burlington, NC, Leslie R. Ruble (Gayle) of Adrian, MI, Becky L. Godfrey (Tim) of Menasha, WI; grandchildren, Kristen, Justin, Melissa, Jessica, Julie, Whitney, Brooke, Leah, Milena, Ryan and Jayden; several step-grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick A. Miller; and her sister, Doris Nuzum Kraft. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, south Parkersburg with Pastor Tim Godfrey and Pastor Gayle Ruble Jr officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen South Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Monday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
