She was married to Oscar L. Moss for 59 years.Hattie was a homemaker and retired from the Board of Education as a cook. She was a cook at Pettyville School and retired from Mineral Wells School. Many children will remember her for her delicious homemade rolls. Cooking for her family and friends was her greatest delight.She was a member of the Pettyville United Methodist Church since 1950, and a member of the United Methodist Women having been honored with a Recognition Pin. Hattie was active in the Pettyville Community Association and served as an Election Poll Worker.She is survived by four children, Shirley (Beryl) Lockhart of Mineral Wells, W.Va., Cecil (Terry) Moss of Cutler, Ohio, Sharon (Harry) Whilden of Mesa, Ariz., and Bill Moss of Cutler, Ohio; three brothers, Ray Robison of Heater, W.Va., Wallace (Erie) Robinson, of Flatwoods, W.Va., and Herbert (Regina) Robinson of Akron, Ohio; and two sisters, Mary Gillespie of Burnsville, W.Va. and Maggie Williams of Jane Lew, W.Va.She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Rodney Lockhart, of Mineral Wells, W.Va., Gerald (Julie) Lockhart of Spokane, Wash., Wesley (Lori) Lockhart of Mineral Wells, W.Va., LaDawn Gerwig of Duck, W.Va., Tim (Melissa) Moss of Exchange, W.Va., Pam (Brian) Ash of Cutler, Ohio, Michael (Leah) Burton, of Hillard, Ohio, Brent (Stacy) States of Mineral Wells, W.Va.; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Oscar Moss; daughter, Helen Marie Burton; brothers, John, Olen, Harry, Roy and James Edward (Billy) Robison; and sister, Janet Stout.Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2010 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with Rev. Bill Knicely and Rev. Phil Prunty officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.The family wishes to thank Amedisys Home Health Services and especially nurses Cindy Marie Rea and Angela Meadows.
