Harvey Leonard Morrison, Jr.

Harvey L. Morrison, Jr., 78, of Elizabeth, passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at WVU Camden Clark Medical Center after an extended illness. He was born April 16, 1947 in Newark, WV, a son of the late Harvey Sr. and Louise LaRue Morrison.

Harvey attended Rockport Church of Christ where he was a former deacon. He enjoyed playing music, especially bass. He played a lot of bluegrass and country. Harvey liked golf, hunting, and was a state trap shooting champion. He retired from Dupont as an Operator.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Morrison of 59 years; daughter, Julie Preston (Steve); his sisters, Connie Brown (Carroll) and Wanda Mills; sister-in-law, Pam Exline (Chuck); brother-in-law, Harvey Stephen Nicholson (Cathy); Vance “Buddy” Davis, whom he considered a son; and his aunt, Frances Fought.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his infant son, Harvey Michael Morrison; his sister, Jeri Sheridan; and his brother-in-law, John T. Mills.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 22, 2025 at K of P Cemetery, Elizabeth.
