Harvey Leonard Hornish

Harvey Leonard Hornish, 76, of Mineral Wells, passed away Friday, December 12, 2025 at WVU Camden Clark Medical Center. He was born November 5, 1949 in Parkersburg, a son of the late Henry D. and Goldie M. Dotson Hornish.

He was a 1968 graduate from Parkersburg High School and worked for Kroger Company from 1966 until he retired in 2011. He was a very active member of the Journey on Park Avenue, Baptist Temple. Harvey was an avid golfer, enjoying playing golf with his friends in the senior golf league at Woodridge.

Left to cherish his memory includes his loving wife, Diane, of 46 years; two sons, Bill Hornish (Marisa) of Wake Forest, NC and Shawn Bowles (Amy) of Barboursville, WV.; a daughter, Kendra Huff of Milton, WV; grandchildren, Riley, Tyler, Jacob, Connor, Marshall, Brieanna, Riley, Alec, and Willie; and great-grandchildren, Jade, Lincoln, Wyatt, and Jackson.

Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 20, 2025 at the Journey on Park Avenue with Rev. Dr. Dave Richardson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, family requests memorial contributions be given to the food pantry at the Journey on Park Avenue.
