Harry L. Stewart, 70, of Williamstown, W.Va., passed away January 25, 2013 at Camden-Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus following a brief illness. He was born August 11, 1942 in Wood County, W.Va., a son of the late Harry Lawrence Stewart and Juanita Plant Stewart of Williamstown, W.Va.Harry retired after several years of employment with Eramet as a laborer and prior to that, spent many years employed at Brockway Glass as a supervisor. He was a true outdoorsman, having enjoyed hunting and fishing. He held a passion for Chevy trucks and loved spending time restoring both trucks and cars. He also held a hobby of guns, and enjoyed spending time on the river.In addition to his mother, surviving is his high school sweetheart and the love of his life and wife of forty-nine years, Linda L. Freshwater Stewart; he also leaves behind four sons whom he was an outstanding father to, Scott, Tracy, and Brett (Teresa), all of Williamstown, W.Va., and Brent (Diana) of Vienna, W.Va.; one sister, Ann White (Gary) of Melbourne, FL; two brothers, Tom (Jennifer) of Williamstown, W.Va., and Kevin (Jolene) of St. Port Lucie, FL; five grandchildren, Brittany Stewart-Snodgrass (Eric) and their children Cayden, Dakota, and Bradley Snodgrass, and David, Kaitlyn, Karly, and Samantha Stewart; his mother-in-law, Mildred Freshwater of Parkersburg, W.Va.; several nieces and nephews; and his longtime companion and buddy, his beloved black lab, Abby. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his one brother, Richard “Dickie”; and his father-in-law, Harold Freshwater. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday January 29, 2013 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, W.Va. with Rev. Lauren A. Godwin officiating. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:P00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
