Harry David Stanley

Harry David “Little Dave” Stanley, Jr. 54 of Mineral Wells, WV, formerly of Chesapeake, WV, passed away at home surrounded by his family after a two year battle with colon cancer, May 20, 2017. He was born March 26, 1963 in Charleston, WV, the son of Harry David Stanley, Sr. and Mary Stanley West. Dave was a graduate of East Bank High School in East Bank, WV. He was employed for 30 years with American Electric Power as a service electrician foreman. He enjoyed fishing and deer hunting at his family camp in Pocahontas County. He was involved with his son’s four wheeler racing and his daughter’s softball team. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann Hancock Stanley; son, Joshua Stanley of Parkersburg; daughter, Jordan Stanley of the home; his parents, David Stanley (Sue) of Beckley, WV and Mary Stanley West of Charleston, WV; sisters, Kelly Walker (Jeff) and Kristy Jones all of Charleston; also survived by several nieces and nephews and his softball family, The West Virginia Wildfire. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Charley West; his grandparents, George Stanley, Bertha Stanley, Elizabeth Kirk, Bill Kirk, and William Cunningham. A memorial service will be 5:00 p.m. Thursday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, south Parkersburg with Pastor John Rollins officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m. Thursday.
