Harry Edward Deem, 91 of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away Feb. 10, 2012 at Eagle Pointe Nursing Facility. He was born Aug. 15, 1920 in Wood County, W.Va. a son of the late Sanford P. and Anna Stephens Deem. He was a U.S. Army veteran, a life member of the American Legion Post 15 of Parkersburg and a member of the VFW. He retired from Universal Glass/Diamond Glass after 40 years of service. Harry is survived by his wife, Virginia McMullen Deem; several nieces and nephews including, Sharon Gilbert, Denver Deem, Darrell Deem, and Jim Jenkins all of Vienna, W.Va., Roger Deem and Don Jenkins both of Belpre, Ohio, Mike Deem of Ripley, W.Va., Rose Hinton of Pennsboro, W.Va., Janet Myers of Florida; and his good friend, Robert Trissler of Vienna, W.Va.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by six brothers, Carl Deem, Paul Deem, Lonnie Deem, Charles “Jake” Deem, Curtis Deem, and Ralph Deem; and three sisters, may Jenkins, Ethel Jenkins and Ronnie Yocum.Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Michael Lamb officiating. Burial will follow at Parkersburg Memorial Gardens.
