A Video Tribute to Harry is now available on this site.Harry McDonald Cochrane, 77, of Parkersburg, passed away July 23, 2015 at Camden Clark Medical Center, Parkersburg, after a long hard fought battle with multiple myeloma.He was born December 16, 1937 in Parkersburg, the son of the late Donald and Augustine Smith Cochrane.Harry retired from E.I.Dupont as a maintenance supervisor after 37 years of service. He served in the WV Army of the National Guard 1092nd Unit, was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge #169, the Knights of Templar, member of Court 156 Royal Order of Jesters; Nemesis Motorized Unit; Jesters on Wheels and a 50 year member of the Nemesis Shrine. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and a follower of Dr. Charles Stanley.Harry enjoyed motorcycles and loved spending time with his friends, family and especially his grandchildren.He is survived by his wife, Mary McCullough Cochrane; son, Michael Cochrane of Port St. Lucie, Fl.; daughter, Heidi Strain (Thomas) of Woodstock, Ga.; step-sons, Steven McCullough (Shannon) of Bellbrook, Ohio and Gary W. McCullough (Erin-Marie) of Parkersburg; grandchildren, Lindsey Cochrane of Parkersburg, 2nd. Lt Mason Strain of Ft. Stewart, Ga., PFC Miles Strain of Woodstock, Ga., Sydnie McCullough of Bellbrook, Ohio; one great-grandchild, Kaidyn Johnson; sister-in-law, Sue Yoak of Barboursville, WV.; sister and brother-in-law, Jim and Judy Summers of Mineral Wells, and several other sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Rick and Carol Neale of Vienna. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Carolyn Bush Cochrane; and his brother, James Cochrane.Services for Harry will be at 3:00 P.M., Sunday, July 26, 2015 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna with Chaplain David Kaufman officiating. Full military rites will be provided by the American Legion Post 15. Visitation will be Saturday from 2:00-6:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the services Sunday atthe funeral home. The family would like to thank the nursing staff, at the oncology unit, Amedisys Hospice, Physicians Services, Dr. Nik Shah, Dr. Kyathari and special nurse, Kim Pratt, R.N. for all of their care and kindness given to Harry.Memorials may be made to the Nemesis Shrine Childrens Hospital or charity of your choice.
