Harold Eugene Dooley, 82, passed on October 26, 2019. He was born in Parkersburg, WV a son of the late George Harold Dooley and Julia Ruth Gates Dooley Ramsey. Harold was married for 62 years to Jeannie Drake Dooley on August 25, 1957. He was always a family man and put his family first in every situation. He worked for the local cable company for 36 years. Harold enjoyed hunting and gardening. He was a lifetime member of the West Virginia Trappers Association and was the President for eight years. Harold was a SCUBA diver that assisted during the Pt. Pleasant Silver Bridge collapse in 1967. He was a Ham Radio Operator and his call sign was N8KO. Harold frequently talked to other Hams all around the world. Harold is survived by his children, Rhonda Follette (Wes), Tim Dooley, Cheryl Hoalcraft of Moorhead, MN, Cindy Poe (Casey), Cheyenne Longfellow (John Zack) and Chris Dooley; grandchildren, Missy Evans, Jeffrey Dooley II (Savannah), Holly Miller (Shawn), Rose Cline (Kevin), Timothy Dooley II, Matthey Dooley, Larry Hoalcraft II of Fargo, ND, Michael Hoalcraft (Kimber) and Brian Hoalcraft (Alicia); great-grandchildren, Hayley Dooley, Dawn Wrey, Zander Dooley, Leon Follette, Liam Cline, Noel Dooley, Devin Leasure, Jeramya Dooley, Jasmine Dooley, Isabella Hoalcraft, Luna Hoalcraft, Michael Hoalcraft and Callie Hoalcraft; great-great-grandchildren, Nikki Longfellow, Penelope Poe and two more on the way; three sisters, Dorothy Skeen of Alexis, NC, Faye Hart of Parkersburg and Patty Robinson of Shenandoah, VA; one brother, Cleland Ramsey (Rita) of Rocky Gap, VA; special friends, Larry and Linda Backus and their family; many nieces and nephews; along with a host of other family members and friends. In addition to his parent, Harold was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Dooley I; great-grandson, Damien Dooley; son in-law, Larry Gene Hoalcraft I; grandson, David Parker; brothers, Cecil Gates and Allen Ramsey; and two sisters, JoAnn Eaton and Elsie Davis. There will be a memorial service at 12:00 pm on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at South Parkersburg Baptist Church, 1655 Blizzard Drive, Parkersburg, WV 26101 with Pastor Adam Pfaff officiating.
