Harold R. Bartlett, 81, of Parkersburg passed away January 23, 2020 at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV. He was born March 20, 1938 in Parkersburg, son of the late Carl Bartlett and Maxine Smith Bartlett Boggs. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Alstede AF48 and the USS Ranger. He was also in the Pioneer Antique Auto Club, was an avid hunter, enjoyed travelling and spending time with family and friends. He retired in 1998 from the ABF Trucking. For almost 40 years Harold enjoyed driving the church bus for various churches and loved all his bus kids. He was a member of the Gospel Baptist Church in Torch, OH and was a great soul winner for the Lord. Harold is survived by his wife, Bernice Lucile Sims Bartlett; a son, Harold Bartlett, Jr. (Beverly); a daughter, Saliania Lombardo (Rick); two granddaughters, Shayna and Saleena; two sisters, Ann Carpenter of Belpre and Sharon “Penny” Villers (Bob) of Elizabeth, WV; and a step-brother, Woody Mace of Davisville. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Jerry Carpenter. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home 2333 Pike St. Parkersburg with Pastor Rick Perrine and Pastor Jay Hubbard officiating. Military honors will be conducted by American Legion Post #15 of Parkersburg. Burial will follow at Pisgah Cemetery in Wirt County. Visitation will be 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the funeral home.
