Harley Wilbert Rice

Harley Wilbert Rice, 91, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away on Sept. 16, 2015 at Parkersburg Care and Rehab.He was born Nov. 10, 1923, in Lubeck, W.Va., a son of the late Albert E. and Elizabeth Gay Maze Rice.Harley was the neighborhood gardener and took care of many lawns. He was noted for raising beautiful roses. He was a member of South Parkersburg Baptist Church where he was an usher and a member of the Helping Hands Sunday School Class.He is survived by his nephew and caregivers, Robert (Delores) Morris of Parkersburg; and a great-nephew and caregivers, Randall (Kathy) Morris, of Parkersburg.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers; and four sisters.Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 18, 2015 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., South Parkersburg with Pastor Joe Busch officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of services.
