Harley Joseph “Joe” Harris Jr. was called back to the lord on Oct. 27th, 2024, at his home in Mineral Wells, WV. He was born on June 14th, 1957, to Harley Sr. and Phyillis Harris.
When Joe was a young boy, he spent his early years traveling from his home in the MOV area, and spent time in Germany and the Southern United States while his father was in the United States Air Force. He eventually traveled back to the MOV area in his early teenage years on his own. He stayed with his family from the area and finished his schooling. He married his wife Sue Wells and he started building a life of hard work and focusing on building a family. He became a father to two girls, Leslie and Amy. Amy was born with many health issues, and Joe would take care of her for the rest of his days. He worked for several companies through the years working his way into management and became a well-respected man. He worked hard and traveled to provide for his family. He loved the outdoors, the river, hunting, traveling, and NASCAR. “I’ve done everything I ever thought I would do. I’ve done more than I thought I was capable of doing,” Dale Earnhardt.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Harris of Mineral Wells, his daughters, Leslie Couture (Chris) of Parkersburg, and Amy Harris of Mineral Wells, and brothers Mark Harris (Pam) of Waterford, OH., Mike Harris (Vicki) of Marietta. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Tristan, Liam, Ayden, and Quentin Couture of Parkersburg; his Nephew Robbie Knopp (Wendy); and his Niece Meghan Budzyn (Matt).
He would spend the last few years of his life living it to the fullest. He would take his wife out every weekend, go with his Nephew Robbie to WVU Football Games, and his grandson Tristan out hunting every fall. He also spent much of his time with his grandsons.
