Gregg Michael Byrd

Gregg Michael Byrd, 54 of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away at his residence. He was born Dec. 25, 1960 in Parkersburg a son of Ruth E. Horner Byrd of Parkersburg and the late Cecil E. Byrd. He was a graduate of Parkersburg High School and a U.S. Air Force and U.S. Army veteran. Gregg enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, sports and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He attended 1st Baptist Church in Parkersburg.He is survived by his mother; a son, Andrew Byrd of W.Va.; two brothers, Robert Byrd of San Antonio, TX; and Jeffery A. Byrd of Parkersburg, W.Va.; and several cousins.In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Tammy L. Byrd; and a brother, James Byrd.There will be no visitation or service at this time. A memorial service for Gregg will be announced at a later date.
