Granville E. “Bud” Rolston, 87, of Williamstown, W.Va. passed away Sunday, December 20, 2015 in the Marietta Center. He was born at Ogden, Wood County, W.Va., a son of the late Granville A. and Letha M. Earl Rolston. Bud was retired from Local 168, Plumbers and Pipefitters Union, Marietta, Ohio. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, earning the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and Sharpshooter on the M-1 rifle. He was a member of Crossroads U.M. Church. He is survived by his wife of sixty four years, Hazel M. Rolston whom he married September 28, 1951; one daughter, Vickie L. Hill and her husband, Chuck of Parkersburg; two sisters, Anna Skidmore of Parkersburg and Diane Owens of Williamstown; one nephew, Mark Skidmore of Williamstown; and one niece, Carolyn Kesterson of Parkersburg. Funeral services will be conducted at the convenience of the family with burial in the Parkersburg Memorial Gardens. There will be no visitation.
