Grace Chapman

February 12, 1927 — November 26, 2022

Grace Paulsen Chapman, 95, went to be with her Savior, the Lord Jesus on November 26, 2022 in Parkersburg, WV. She was born in Thomaston, Maine, graduated from Wheaton College in Illinois (1949) also earned her RN in Chicago (1951). She was happily married to Wilbur C. Chapman of Webster Groves, MO for 56 years and they served as missionaries on the Netherlands Antilles island of Curacao for 36 years. They moved to Parkersburg in 2007 and her husband predeceased her that same year. They have 4 children. Wilbur Jr. (and Morgan) of Wilmington, NC.; RuthAnn Hall (and George) of Parkersburg, WV., Nancy Chapman of Durham, NC., and Paul (and Miri) of Sinking Spring, PA. She is survived by 13 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, 2 step sisters and a loving step- mother.

Visitation will take place 6:00 P.M.- 8:00 P.M. Friday, December 2, 2022, and 2 hours prior to services on Saturday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, South Parkersburg. 2333 Pike Street, Parkersburg WV 26101. Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday, December 3, 2022 at the funeral home. Interment will take place in St. Louis, MO. Grace will be rembered for her faith in God, her compassion, and her love of life.
