Grace E. Badgley, 82, of Parkersburg, West Virginia passed away at her residence on Saturday, June 4, 2016. She was born December 10, 1933 in New Baltimore, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Clarence and Emma Imgrund Hillegas. Grace graduated from Berlin-Brothers Valley High School in Berlin, Pennsylvania and Camden Clark School of Nursing; she served as a staff nurse at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital and retired April 9, 1999 with 35 years in the operating room. She was a member of Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church since 1961 and had served as Lector and Lay Minister. Grace was an avid Pittsburgh baseball and football sports fan. She is survived by one son, John Badgley of Parkersburg, West Virginia; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Debbie Cumpston and Teresa Miihlbach; and her beloved dog, “Sophie”. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Harold D. Badgley; two sisters, Dorothy Hillegas and Marian Mikula; and a brother, Ralph Hillegas. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Father John Rice as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. The family will receive friends 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green Street, Parkersburg, West Virginia. A Rosary service will conclude visitation.
