Glenda M. Hendrickson

On the 3rd day of March, 2018, Glenda M. (Cowan) Hendrickson was called home to be with the Lord. She was born in Cairo, Ritchie County, West Virginia, in 1931. She was a great mother, an excellent nurse and a staunch advocate for obtaining an education. Glenda is survived by her son, David Keith Hendrickson and his wife Stephanie of Charleston, WV. 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Denver Hendrickson and her daughter Pamela Buchanan and two brothers and two sisters. She was a feisty woman who wasn’t afraid to speak her mind and always ready to lend a helping hand. She will be missed by all those who had the good fortune of knowing her during her lifetime. A memorial service will be held Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 11:30 A.M. at the 36th Street Church of Christ in Vienna, with Evangelist Mark Mason officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation in the name of “Glenda M. Hendrickson Scholarship Fund”, P.O. Box 11070, Charleston, West Virginia 25339, where the proceeds will be used to help students aspiring to become nurses obtain an education. Lambert-Tatman Funeral and Cremation Services of Vienna is assisting the family with arrangements.
