Gladys I. Stanley

Gladys I. Stanley, 87, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away May 18, 2011. She was born March 27, 1924 in Beaver Falls, PA, a daughter of the late Louis and Mabel Courtney Bumgardner.Gladys retired from the Wood County Board of Education as a cook. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and she was a member of Beechwood Presbyterian Church. Surviving are two daughters, Theresa Ruble of Williamstown, W.Va., and Belinda Lynch (Dale) of Brohard, W.Va.; one son, Donald J. Stanley Jr. (Felicia) of Parkersburg, W.Va.; ten grandchildren; and twenty-two great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald J. Stanley, Sr.; one great-grandchild; four brothers; and two sisters. Graveside services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Saturday May 21, 2011, at the Rockland Cemetery, Belpre, Ohio. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St.Parkersburg, W.Va. prior to leaving for the cemetery.
