Gerald Wayne Flowers

Gerald (Jerry) Wayne Flowers age 82, went home to be with the Lord while surrounded by his family on Monday, January 1, 2018. Jerry resided in Parkersburg, WV and was born to Opal (Workman) and George Flowers. He was a self employed contractor for most of his life and loved working with his hands; no project was too big or too small. Jerry loved building and fixing homes, but most of all he loved taking care of his family. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend. Jerry is survived by his loving wife and caregiver of 53 years, Rita (Havens) Flowers; three daughters, Tina (Shane Burdette), Tonya (Larry Kunze) and Teresa (James Dugan); eight grandchildren, Jeremy Demoss, Jessica Denicola, Amanda Flowers, Natasha Flowers, Chelsi Rhodes, Corey Dugan, Jarrod and Nick Kunze; and eleven great-grandchildren, Colten, Kyler, Khloe, Lexi, Leah, Liam, Carter, Michael, Brandice, Brayden, and Waylon. He is also survived by his two brothers, John and Steve. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Mary Lou, Jean, Carolyn, and Joanne; and a brother, Dave. Visitation will be from 10:00 am. – 1:00 pm. with services following at 2:00 pm. Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Vienna.
