Gerald Franklin Bateman

Gerald Franklin Bateman passed away on March 17th at his home. Gary was born August 11, 1957 in Parkersburg to Gilbert S and Mamie Burke Barber Bateman. Gary was a 1976 graduate of Parkersburg High School and a retired bridge mechanic from CSX Railroad. He was a member of the Rock Church. Gary was a proud fan of WVU Mountaineers, Cleveland Browns and enjoyed coaching basketball. He is survived by his brothers, William Clarence, Charles Eugene, Roger Lee, Ralph H. (Jamie) and Alan M. (Joyce) and a large loving family of nieces, nephews and many friends. Gary was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters Shirley Barber, Joanne (Jodie) Hatcher and Kathy Bateman. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home and Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.
