Georgia E. Melrose Lane

Georgia E. Melrose Lane, 102 of Belpre, Ohio passed away Sept. 18, 2015 at Parkersburg Care & Rehabilitation.She was born May 27, 1913 in Belpre daughter of the late Charles and Bessie Reeder Melrose. She was a graduate of Belpre High School and worked at the AW Cox Dept. Store for 32 years. She was a member of the O.E.S. and the American Legion Auxiliary. Georgia is survived by a son, Truman “Bob” Lane (Nancy) of Vincent, OH; a grandson,Edward Lane (Penny) of Texas; three great-grandchildren, Aaron Lane (Sammie), Curtis Lane and Samantha Lane all of Texas; two great-great-grandchildren, Alani Lane and Aceson Lane both of Texas; a brother, Herman Melrose of Belpre; a niece, Alice June Brand of Mineral Wells;several great nieces and nephews; and her grand-dogs, Tasha and Toby.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.A graveside service will be held 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2015 at Rockland Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 1305 Washington Blvd Belpre.The family wishes to thank the Parkersburg Care & Rehabilitation Center staff for their care and kindness given to Georgia.
