Georgia Pearl Deem

Georgia Pearl Deem, 96, of Belpre, Ohio, passed away December 2, 2015 at the Arbors of Marietta. She was the last surviving member of her family. She is the daughter of the late Abner J. and Edna E. Jenkins Phillips. She was a homemaker and a member of the Cairo Baptist Church. Georgia is survived by a daughter, Barbara S. Payton, Vienna, W.Va.; three sons, S. Gary Deem, Veto, Ohio, Steven D. Deem, Clarksburg, W.Va., and Barton W. Deem (Lori), Newport, Ohio; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Georgia was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell W. Deem; and four brothers and four sisters; and a son-in-law, Wayne Payton. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, December 6, 2015 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 1305 Washington Blvd, Belpre, Ohio with Pastor Phil Richards officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Deem Cemetery in Beatrice, W.Va.
