George A. Williams

George A. Williams, 89, of Parkersburg passed away March 29, 2020 at Camden Clark Medical Center. He was born June 8, 1930 in Grantsville, WV, son of the late Harry Vance Williams and Bessie Hickman Williams. He was a US Navy veteran and was a member of the Painters Union Local 1144. He enjoyed the Parkersburg Color Guard and was a member of the DAV, American Legion and AmVets. George was a member at Calvary Memorial Church. George is survived by three daughters, Tammy (Roland) Bixman, Tracy (Damian) Schoen and Diane Farnsworth; a sister, Jodi Daughtery; a brother, Buck Williams; 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by his wife, Rosalie June Pennybacker Williams; two daughters, Debra Tullius and Terry Jones; three brothers and one sister. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m., Thursday April 2, 2020 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery with Pastor Lonnie Coats officiating. Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
