David Viar left this earth to go to his Heavenly Resting place on March 23rd at the age of 61. David was born to the late George W. Viar and Betty Jo Hurley Viar, February 2, 1958. David served our country proudly in the US Navy, stationed primarily in San Diego, California. When he finished his tour of duty, he drove his motorcycle cross country to Dyersburg, Tennessee where his parents had settled. David and his parents attended RoEllen Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Following his parents deaths David relocated to Vienna, WV his childhood home. David enjoyed riding his motorcycle, he enjoyed pranking and playing with his nieces and nephews, which always led to his contagious laughter and smile. He enjoyed his professional years as an EMT. As his life progressed he experienced several disabling diseases that limited his life on this earth. Still in his last days he responded to voices of those he loved with an affirmative nod. He never forgot the joy of love. David is survived by two sisters; Patty (Jeff) Wellington of Clarksville, Tennessee and Dianne (Marvin) Bennett of Vienna, WV, and several nieces and nephews. David will be missed by cousins and friends and who will continue to cherish his memory. Visitation will be held at the Johnson-Williams Funeral Home in Newbern, Tennessee from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 28, 2019. Memorial service will be held in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 29th. With Mr. Patrick Williams officiating. Interment will follow at the Rehoboth Cemetery with Military Honors.
