Gary Allan Niday, 78, of Walker, WV passed away January 10, 2022 at Camden Clark Medical Center. He was born September 2, 1943 in Spencer, WV, a son of the late Chester C.and Mildred F. Short Niday. Gary had worked at O’Ames and was a self-employed auto-body mechanic and enjoyed fixing cars. He loved making rounds visiting the local auto shops and spending time with his friends. He enjoyed spending time with his wife of 48 years, family and grandkids. He was a member of Pioneer Antique Auto Club. Gary is survived by children, Kimberly Gum (David) of Camden, WV, Michael Niday (Belinda) of Walker, Sherry Stottlemyer of South Charleston, WV, Donnie Wilt of Washington, and Mark Wilt (Tina) of Vienna; grandchildren, Ryan Wilt (Michelle), Renee Dotson, Jesse McRobert (Eric), Ashly Collins (Robby), Anna Wilt, Abby Wilt, Morgan Gray (Jake), Kasey Lattea, Preston Gum, Alison Stottlemyer, Kurt Stottlemyer, Stephanie Lewis (Scott); seventeen great-grandchildren; special friends, Tarra Cullen and Teresa Williams; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Francis Niday; a brother, Stanley Niday; a sister, Sharon Skidmore; close friend, Jerry Burkhammer; and his best friend, his dog, Oscar. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, January 14, 2022 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg with Pastor Bill Brown officiating. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. at the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Jane Lew, WV. Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
