Gary John Lucky

Gary John Lucky, 70, of Rockport, passed away on September 8, 2024 in the loving care of his wife. He was born July 1, 1954, a son to the late Raleigh and Lida A. Hurd Lucky.

After graduation he served as a laborer for labor union 1085. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, hunting, and camping. He was a family man who especially enjoyed spending time with family, specifically his grandkids.

Gary is survived by his devoted wife, Pauline A. Hall Lucky; his son, Edward McManaway (Danielle); his daughters, Rebecca Merrill and Bonnie Parsons; his sister, Doris A. Holbert (Francis); brothers, Donald D Lucky (Debra), Ted L. Lucky (Rebecca), Ben Lucky (Renee’), James Lucky (Patricia), and sister-in-law, Marie Lucky; seven grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Lonnie D. and William Lucky.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at Lambert Tatman Funeral Home, south Parkersburg, with Pastor Don Yeager officiating. Interment will follow at Center Valley Cemetery in Peewee, WV. Friends and loved ones will be welcomed from 11:00 a.m., until the time of service on Wednesday.
