There is now a video tribute to Gary available on this web site. Gary L. Hall, 67, of Belpre passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on March 9, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born December 20, 1948 in Marietta, a son of Nelda G. Pratt Hall of Belpre and the late Ralph C. Hall. Gary was a 1966 graduate of Belpre High School and attended Washington State Community College. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and was retired from E.I. DuPont after 27 years of service. Gary enjoyed using his “handy-man” skills to help family and friends and he enjoyed working outdoors around his home. His pride and joy was his 1981 Corvette which he completely restored. He will be remembered most as a loving son, husband, father, “Papaw” and brother. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 44 years, Mathilde M. Doelle Hall; daughter, Marian E. Marshall (Chris) of Belpre; son, Jason S. Hall (Shauna) of Belpre; brother, John M. Hall (Penny) of Vincent; three sisters, Donna M. Ingraham (Donald) of Vincent, Janet E. Ingraham (Richard) of Waverly, W.Va. and Patricia “Patty” A. Wolfe (Jeff) of Belpre; three grandchildren, Dakota “Koty” Thompson, Olivia Hall and Daniella Hall; brother-in-law, Walter Doelle (Doris) of Germany; and seven nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 1305 Washington Boulevard, Belpre with Pastor Rod Brower and Reverend Paul McGuire officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memory Gardens, Belpre. The family will receive friends from 4 – 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The family wishes to thank Dr. Kelli Cawley, the staff of Strecker Cancer Center and Marietta Amedisys Hospice for their excellent care. For those considering an expression of sympathy, memorials are preferred to Marietta Home Health and Hospice or Strecker Cancer Center.
