Gary Edwin Landers

Gary Edwin Landers, 64 of Valley St. Salem departed this life on Sunday, January 7, 2024 in his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 28, 1959 at Clarksburg a son of the late Harry and Patsy Wheatley Landers. On February 16, 1988 he married Crystal Maxwell Landers who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Amanda Light (Jeffrey) Weston, Victoria Lazzell (Chaz) Morgantown, step daughter, Ivy Deal (Eric) Morgantown, daughter in law, Jennifer Landers, West Union, grandchildren, Gracie and Joey Landers, Miles and Monroe Light, sister, Tonia Maxwell (Oliver), Wilmington, NC, brother, Gregory Landers (Tonya) Bridgeport, sister in law, Susan Landers, West Union and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by one son, Joseph (Joey) Landers and one brother, Douglas (Doug) Landers. Gary was a graduate of Doddridge County High School. He was retired from Coastal Lumber, Smithburg as a mechanic. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and all outdoor activities. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother and will be sadly missed by his family and friends. At his request he was cremated and there will be no services.
