Gail Elizabeth Mitchell

Gail Elizabeth Mitchell, 68 of Parkersburg passed away Monday, November 19, 2012 at the Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.She was born October 12, 1944 in Newberry, Mich., a daughter of the late Raymond and Francis Justice Lowe. Gail was retired from General Electric cafeteria and was an auxiliary member of the American Legion Unit 104 where she was unit President and 4th District Chaplain. She enjoyed fishing, watching football and was an avid Steelers fan.Surviving is her husband, Gregory Mitchell; her daughter, Erika Byrd of Parkersburg,W.Va.; her son, Thomas Byrd of Fairmont, W.Va.; and five brothers and sisters, CarolGavin of Joliet, IL., Tony Latham of Parkersburg, W.Va., Frank Adams of Mich.,Helen Pompey of Parkersburg, W.Va., and Eileen Bartlett of Columbus, OH. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Florence Simmons; and two brothers, Richard Adams, and Joel Adams.Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 24, 2012 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St., Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Lisa Taylor officiating. Interment will be at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Marietta, Ohio. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
