French O. Walker, 86, of Parkersburg passed away Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Camden Clark Medical Center. He was born April 3, 1930 in Walton, West Virginia, a son of the late Nellie Alice Walker Robinson. French retired from the original Kaiser/Ravenswood Aluminum as a mill operator and was an United States Army veteran. He enjoyed traveling and helping those in need and for 39 years was an active member and served as an usher at the Broadway Church of the Nazarene. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Eleanor J. Walker; one son, Oral Jay Walker of Parkersburg; one sister, Faye (Gary) Hively of Clendenin, West Virginia; and one brother, Rondal (Debbie) Robinson of Walton, West Virginia. In addition to his mother, French was preceded in death by his step-father, Earl Robinson and one brother, Paul Robinson. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at the Broadway Church of the Nazarene, 901 Broadway Avenue, Parkersburg, WV 26101 with Pastors Dan Meek and Bob Kniley officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday, September 12, 2016, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with full military rites by American Legion Post 15 conducted at 3:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike Street, and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.
