Freda P. Flesher, 87, of Parkersburg, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2019 at Camden Clark Medical Center after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Jackson County, WV, the daughter of Kenner Flesher and Vernie Delaney Flesher. Her family moved to Parkersburg when she was a child and it’s where she remained the rest of her life. She worked most of her life for Rothwell Dry Cleaners and the Guard Dry Cleaning Company, retiring from the Guard in 1994. She was an avid reader and loved doing word search puzzle books. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Freda is survived by two daughters, Cindy Flesher Lawson and Jeannie Smith of Parkersburg; one son, Ronald William “Bill” Flesher and his wife, Pinyamas of Pattaya, Thialand; two granddaughters, Tori Flesher of Inthaca, NY and Maddie Flesher of Endwell, NY; two grandsons, Chad Lawson of Elizabeth and Adam Smith of Parkersburg. In addition to her parents, Freda was preceded in death by her two daughters, Wendy Ann Flesher 1995 and Melissa Flesher Dass 2016; one granddaughter, Rachel Smith 2014; one brother and three sisters. Funeral services will be held at 11 am. on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, south Parkersburg with Pastor Dave Cumpston officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 6-7:30 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
