Fred William Haney

Fred W. Haney, 87, of Belpre, Ohio, passed away February 29, 2016 at Camden Clark Medical Center. He was born July 17, 1928 in Wood County, W.Va., a son of the late Virgil S. and Frances M. Criss Haney. Fred was a member of the Akron Boat Club, and worked as a truck driver and mechanic for Commercial Lovelace Trucking in Akron, Ohio. He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Nina R. Jenkins Haney; a daughter, Dolly Lynn Wright of Ravenna, Ohio; a sister, Mary Crawford of Arizona; grandchildren, Michael & Scott Wright, Veronica Miller and Jennifer Albright; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by a son, Bill Haney; a grandson, Gale Wright; a brother, Charles Haney; a sister, Marjorie Thorn; and a son-in-law, Danny Wright. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 4, 2016 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 1305 Washington Boulevard, Belpre with Pastor Stanley Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Walker, W.Va. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
