Franklin “Jack” Allender, 82, of Fleming, Ohio passed away April 11, 2017, at his residence. He was born July 21, 1934, in Fleming, Ohio, a son of the late William Emery Allender and Pearl Brown Allender. Jack was retired from the U.S. Air Force where he served in Viet Nam. He is survived by his life partner of 35 years, Doletta “Dot” Singer; one daughter, Jo Beth Allender of Belpre, Ohio; three sons, Joseph Allender of Columbus, Ohio, Joshua and Ryan Singer, both of Marietta, Ohio; grandson, Nicholas Stevens; a brother, Kermit Allender of Canton, Ohio; and special cousin Edward Allender of Zanesville, Ohio. In addition to his parents Jack was preceded in death by son Jeffery Allender, seven sisters and one brother. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 1305 Washington Boulevard, Belpre, Ohio with Pastor Junior Walker officiating. Burial will follow at Barnett Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.,Tuesday at the funeral home.
